Disco + Boobs + Battle Update

I’ve got a few tracks I want to share, and since I don’t want to make a single post for just one track. I do this, to this amazing picture.

First, lets see… Oh yeah, we have Aniki, the Norwegian badass we told you about a few days ago, with another track called Superbooty, pretty interesting, and pretty damn good. Dont expect any disco, just a pure electrobangerrrrr!

Aniki – Superbooty (320 / Mediafire)

Attack Yourself! is pretty known to every blogger and reader out there, this track Bamboozler is just what I expect from him. Sweet and sour at the same time! Attack Yourself! know his disco! Great!

Attack Yourself! – Bamboozler (320 / Mediafire)

Florian Bergeron aka Gliterium have also have been active lately and throwing out some fresh stuff! This stuff I really like! Anthem is that song that really get your feet going, your head banging, and you just feel it. I can almost see a Chemical Brothers-kind-ish video to it.

Gliterium – Anthem (Bedroom Mix) (256 / Mediafire)

And ofcourse our beloved friend N’joy. Who always bring happiness to our ears with his fantastic tunes. Here with a remix from Thony Ritz! Which is not included in the release at Beatport that you can buy here!

N’joy – Do Whatcha Gotta Do (Thony Ritz Remix) (320 / Mediafire)

And in case you’ve missed, our Minimix Battle is in full speed! We recieved many fantastic mixes last week! And THIS week is the final week to send your mix. On Saturday every mix that have been sent in will be up for voting! How you do that will I tell you on Thursday.

Knights – Valentine EP

We have mentioned Knights before here on Forever Disco. And now it’s time to do it again, but now to tell you guys to download Knights latest FREE EP that he decided to call Valentine. This definitely does its job of being a great discobanging EP. I can’t tell you much about Knights. I know he’s 16, and from Germany. And creates some hard bass filter disco music for fun! Reminds me of The Disko Starz with a teaspoon of Moullinex. Great stuff!

Lebatman: Exclusive Mix + Interview

I’m very excited to bring you the first of a series of exclusive mixes that we have planned for you.
This one is from the well known Italian producer Lebatman. He has also been so kind to give us a very interesting and thorough interview.

Frvr: Hey! Can you give us a quick presentation for all of us?
Lbtmn: I’m Lebatman, I’m an upcoming french-touch producer from Milan. I’m 25 years old and I wear glasses. I like black shoes, black jeans, black t-shirts, black jackets, black bags.

Frvr: So how has it been for you this last year as Lebatman? What are you perspectives for the project? I’ve also seen that you’ve shown some interest for dubstep, do you intend to pursue it in the future?
Lbtmn: Late 2009-2010 till now has been a quite good year. I’m generally not an “enthusiastic” type of guy, I rarely – almost never – feel satisfied for something I make; but something good has happened. I started getting booking requests – and started to accept them, something I usually didn’t do before because of my shyness, I met – physically or virtually – a lot of nice people, I started feeling some kind of an interest around me, someone following what I do, which is quite nice. For the future, I don’t have any particular precise plan: I’ll release a couple of EPs in the next months (which will be the first I ever release, I ‘ve never cared much about labels), and I’ll play in Italy and – hopefully – somewhere in Europe. I don’t know if anyone cares but I also plan (or, let’s say, hope) to make some drum’n bass dj sets, probably not using my main alias.
Yes, I like dubstep a lot, as I like tons of different musical genres (which is something you may guess looking at my wardrobe: my t-shirts range from Darkthrone to New Kids on the Block). I recently got a bit bored of that hard-mainstream wobbly dubstep, I actually prefer some softer, heaphones-friendly and experimental way to approach dubstep (such as Martyn, for example). I also deeply love future garage, like Burial, xxxy, Indigo or Synkro.

Frvr: You are now also working on a project called Microclinic. Tell us more about it.
Lbtmn: Microclinic is related to those artists I just mentioned. In my daily life I listen to a lot of new future garage / dubstep / broken beat music, and this inspired me to try to approach this musical universe. I started “Microlinic” in Oct. 2009 (I don’t remember where I got the name), at the beginning I wanted to keep the two projects strictly separated – I mean not even placing Lebatman’s myspace in Microclinic’ top friends, and viceversa, but then I decided to let everyone know it was always me, I thought I could maybe reach some more people. I like what I am doing with that alias, it kind gives me the chance to make some more “serious” music, something you can listen to, and not only dance to. I’m happy that some people love what I’m doing with this project, and I really enjoyed some nice words I got from some of them. I really hope to get the chance to play somewhere as Microclinic (for the moment, you can have a look on Microclinic’s mixcloud page).

Frvr: You are also involved with the label Shiny Disco Club: what’s the story behind it?
Lbtmn: Shiny Disco Club is a new label from France, it’s run by two young bloggers. I accepted their offer to join them because they are two nice, enthusiastic, genuine french-house lovers, and also because I really liked the other artists they have there, so I thought it was fun to join them. They’re making a wonderful promotional job for the label, I’m glad the label’s pages have lots of contacts, this means that there’s a growing (or, re-growing) interests for french touch music, it’s just a matter of finding the right way to promote it. I really hope there will be the chance to set the time machine to late ’90s and make some collective party with other french touch djs.

Frvr: You’ve named two of your tracks after the conceptual/performance artist and philosopher Stelarc. They are not the usual french touch tracks that we would expect from you and tend to drift toward a spacey synth-pop. How much should we read into this?
Lbtmn: Yes, it was a tribute to Stelarc. I’m really interested in his work, and when I finished the tracks (which have been made almost together) I thought his name would fit them for some reason. I got a bit bored of sampling, so I decided to compose something on my own, and I felt that synth / cosmic / space disco clichés were close to what I wanted to make, so I got some inspiration from there. I’m a big fan of all that music, I really love how the 1970′s had some weird and deep sensitivity for space, technology and imagination.

Frvr: And for last name two artists we should definitely keep an eye on.
Lbtmn: I take the responsibility to contravene your question and name some more. For the french-touch scene, you should keep an eye on Kartell and Hana Yori Kichou Na (this doesn’t obviously mean I don’t like others, it’s just that they’re younger and less-known than others). For the rest, have a listen to Actress, Instra:mental and Lone. And Microclinic. And The Shape. And Surrender Marcy.

Lbtmn: Bonus auto-question: which is your favourite director ever? Oh, thanks for the question! I love Jacques Rivette.
Frvr: You are very welcome! I’ll watch his Out 1, noli me tangere and get back to you on it. Thank you for your time!
