Pat Lok is a well known Dj in Vancouver. From his website we can read that over the last 9 years he shared the decks with Bloc Party, Junkie XL, Steve Porter, TheTwelves, Breakbot, GRUM, and Alex Metric and is now starting to work as a producer.
He has come to my attention thanks to his remix of Bonobo’s track Prelude. Pat Lok loops it and sticks an ill bass under it. The track sounds funky and yet has a very interesting psychedelic feel to it.

Also noteworthy is his remix of With You Forever by PNAU. The whole track is lead forward by the uplifting bass and the disco strings until the vocals kick in. I love it!
